Sketchy

By Anonymous - 23/04/2009 13:25 - United States

Today, I parked downtown for a few minutes to pick up a pizza. As I was getting out of my car, a sketchy guy came up and asked me for $5. I told him to get lost and walked away. I walked back to the lot with my pizza and my car was gone. The sketchy guy was a parking attendant. He had my car towed. FML

I'm sure he tried to tell you what he was doing and you just didn't listen. YDI I hope that pizza tasted good while you were sitting on the curb.

Seems kinda weird... a "Sketchy" guy would ASK for $5? You'd think they'd explain first and then tell you the price - if any. I would've thought it'd be up to the customer to leave some sort of tip for parking attendance... ... HMM.

I agree with #2. Wouldn't and shouldn't they at least explain themselves first?

Confused... why would a parking attendant seem sketchy?

If a sketchy guy randomly asked for $5 with no explanation, I would've done the same (albeit, more politely). FYL.

Sorry but you deserved that one. Next time someone asks for money hand it over. If you can afford pizza, you can afford to pay a parking person.

#65...he was a sketchy guy BEFORE the OP knew he was a parking attendant...you dumbass. and i also read a post questioning the lack of uniform on the parking attendant from #14- wtf? do parking attendants have uniforms, nametags, etc? what is this the 1950's where every person had a uniform for their job...like the ice cream store clerks, and gas station attendants, ETC ETC ETC #41 and #43..right on! it would take a longer time to tow a car than 5 minutes, but where in the OP did it say it took 5 (or a few) minutes to get the pie? all listed numbers above...no offense really...i'm just a tense dude that needs to get laid

If you were in the city, you had to have known that any lot you parked in wasn't free. Since you don't mention putting money in the meter, the first thought on your mind when he asked for 5 dollars should have been that he was the lot attendent

I feel ya man, I don't think this is fake, and I would have been hesitant to give him money even if he did identify himself. Once I was downtown and this black dude in a yellow vest came over and asked for five bucks for parking, and I gave it to him. Later on I went back and he wasn't there. Turns out, it didn't cost any money to park there.

There was a parking attendant at a pizza place...in downtown?.... That seems really odd.
