Slow day

Today, my boss threatened to fire me if I didn't stop looking at my phone while working. I work in the back room, and there is no clock in there. I look at my phone to check the time. That way I know how long I have left in that hellhole. FML

buy a clock, hang it on the wall in the back room and the next person working there won't end up in the same situation.

Stop looking at your phone. Each time you want to know the time, ask your boss. They'll eventually get sick of you asking and will stop worrying how many times you check your phone. :)

No, they won't "stop worrying how many times you check your phone", they will say buy a watch. Our they will say "I'll let you know when you go".

just walk to the bathroom and take a 5 minute break while there. get all your time checking and texting done at once

I have the same issue at work except for it's construction, I just set alarms on my phone for 5-10 before my breaks and when I'm off so I don't have to look all the time
