You had no right to confront him! What you need to do is study the other woman and copy her. She obviously has such powerful feminine magic that she can convert a gay man to straight. Instead of whining about your loss, learn from a master about how to get what you want.
Let’s see this from his perspective, “there’s this creepy woman at work who won’t stop hitting on me. I’ve tried to ignore it, and finally told her I was gay to get her to back off. I started dating someone else from the office. Apparently crazy-lady found out and came and started yelling at me for lying about being gay. Finally I had no choice but to contact HR to see if that will set her straight.” Worse yet, imagine gender reversal where it was creepy dude hitting on hot coworker. You’re lucky you didn’t get fired. No one is obligated to date you, or justify why they don’t want to.
you are extremely lucky you weren't fired. 1 this is why you don't date coworkers, don't shit where you eat. 2 obviously he has no interest in you, leave him the hell alone. when a man does this to a woman, everyone starts screaming. it's not acceptable for you either. don't interact with him unless you have to, and keep it professional
Man gay men get all the women.
Look it really sucks he lied to you, but a non-answer is an answer. Dude obviously lied to you because he's not interested. Supremely shitty, of course, but you shouldn't be trying to date coworkers anyway, and you really shouldn't be confronting coworkers about their love lives at work.
Rule #1....DO...NOT....DATE....CO-WORKERS!!!!!
He obviously wasn't into you. Get over it.

No means no. if he felt the need to give you an excuse to begin with, then it sounds like you were pressing him and making him uncomfortable. Take the loss and get on with life and leave your coworkers alone.
