run an A/V scan for any programs and if your working on firefox you can download two add-ons stealther and Key Scrambler Stealther will prevent your parents from being able to see anything and Keyscrambler will encrypt anything you type so if your talking to your friend and write "Lets get Drunk" yor parents wil see something like het6h7t6u4ihk

This sounds like Back Orifice 2K. Remove it (Google is your friend), check for other "Rootkits", and check for any "adapters" your "parents" may have put on this computer. Then, just to be safe, use Ubuntu, unless you have a mac (if so I don't know how to get around this YET.) If Google will give you a good enough idea of how to do so, when using Ubuntu, connect to TOR, which will make it impossible for your parents to monitor what websites you are looking at, even if they do so for a living. In all likelihood, you will not need TOR, but some people use jelly and condoms at the same time.
