Today, I had to explain to a woman I didn't know that my husband was killed overseas. She replied, "I know exactly how you feel, my dog died last month." FML

Maybe her and her dog were really close. She may not be married and her dog kept her from being lonely. Maybe she does know how you feel

1. I'm so sorry for your loss. 2. I'm not sure I'd go comparing it to losing a husband, but there are a lot of people, myself included, who consider their pets family and are truly devastated when their pets die.
