Today, as I spent my last $6 on groceries, the woman at the register gave me a dirty look because I declined to donate $1 to a children's charity. My six year-old son immediately chimed in with, "Mommy, why aren't you helping the poor children?" FML

Today, I was at the mall with my mom, when I saw a little pamphlet about a charity for abused children. I showed her and said I was going to donate a few dollars. She quickly said no, calling it a waste of money and muttering that the kids probably deserved it anyway. FML

Today, I was cashiering, and a customer's change came to $5.51. She looked pretty stinking rich, so I just gave her $5.50. She demanded the extra penny, and I asked if she really needed it. She said, "No, but they do, asshole," and dropped her $5.51 in the charity donation box. FML

Today, I helped a 6 year-old boy who was left alone at a store to get back home. The kid's parents were grateful, but my mother cussed me out and called me stupid for helping the kid. No good dead goes unpunished. FML

Today, an elderly woman couldn't afford all of her groceries at the checkout so she started to take out a few things. I offered to pay for her groceries; she thanked me and walked out. An onlooker then came up to me and told me that she does it to someone every week. FML

Today, I was shopping at the grocery market and was next in line. Behind me was a woman who only had two items, so I nicely let her in front of me, as it looked like she was in a hurry. When she was all rung up, she decided to pay her $16.45 in loose change which needed to be counted out. FML

Today, while standing in line at the grocery store, the elderly lady in front of me had forgotten to pay for her milk. In the spirit of the season, I paid for it and wished her happy holidays. She snatched the milk and gave me an ugly look. Then huffed at me before stomping off. FML

Don't worry about the woman. She's a bitch. You didn't have to donate if you didn't want to. You could have just told your kid that was the last of your money.

I don't want to sound racist but I hate it when I'm at like Taco Bell or McDonalds. When I'm ordering, there's always a black person doing the orders. As I'm ready to order they ask if I want to donate to charity or whatever. I say 'no' calmly and they give me like a smug look and say "ok" in an ignorant way. I should ask if they ever donated. :X

That was rude of the salesperson. They don't know what anyone's situation is like this time of year. Practically every other store asks for a donation and the other ones all have a salvation army santa out front. Many people have already made a donation to their favorite charity this holiday season, and many others may simply not have the extra cash to spare. I always say "No thanks, I donated last time I was here," if they are giving me a hard time.

That woman is a judgmental bitch. How does she know that you don't donate to charities every month or so? What if you ARE someone who gets help from these charities? You can never be sure what anyone's financial situation is. Even if you had on a fur coat and took a limo to the grocery store, it's none of her business if you want to donate.
