Friendship, and companionship, do not come easily to all. Perhaps it will be more rewarding if we do not sell our own company too cheaply. Though I don't have a phone, I am similarly disposed to having conversations alone. But I have found being surrounded by the works of late, august personages, who have made an art of communicating from the page, may present in solitude boons that one might have missed otherwise.
