Today, I was told that my son has Twitter and Facebook accounts that he uses to try to bully people online, some of which are celebrities. He does it really badly, though. FML

Today, my son was on Facebook while he was supposed to be studying. He called me a liar and accused me of making up excuses to chew him out. How do I know he was online? He liked and commented on a video I posted. My son is a dumbass. FML

Today, I got an angry call from my 7-year-old son's school. It turned out that while doing a "what I want to be when I'm older" assignment, he wrote that he wants to be an internet troll so he can make people mad and make them kill themselves. FML

Today, I found out my son is getting bullied. His stepdad doesn’t care, in fact he’s all for bullying because he thinks it will force my son to stop being smart, or "a dork" as he calls him, and fit in with the normal kids for a change. FML

Today, I'm ashamed at ever having become a parent after I found out my daughter has been leading an online bullying campaign against a girl at her school who has disabilities, both mental and physical. Some of the language she was using in the online messages were just disgusting and unforgivable. FML

Today, my son, who to my great shame is a typical bully, was suspended for bullying a disabled girl. Her father must have been the biggest, meanest, most tattooed ex-marine I've ever seen. He blamed me for bad parenting, and I actually peed myself a little in fear, which he saw too. FML

Today, my daughter posted a poem on Facebook about how her father and I abused her for years. It's a complete lie and an obvious attempt to impress her boyfriend, whom she thanked for "rescuing" her. I've received several hateful messages already, along with threats to report me to CPS. FML

Today, my son visited for the first time in three years, asking to stay a while. It turns out he insulted someone online and gave his address in case they wanted to fight him. They accepted the offer, and so my son's imaginary Muay Thai skills went AWOL, along with his testicles. FML

Today, I grounded my son after finding out that he's been bullying other kids at school. He got mad and screamed at me, calling me a "bastard". Instead of defending me, my wife got pissed and accused me of having taught our son to swear like that. I can never win. FML

Why aren't you monitoring your child's internet access? It's so easy to install parental controls and it's more important than ever when kids can get into so much trouble on social media.

Why would he have been monitoring it before if he didn't know his son was doing anything wrong? I agree that he should monitor his son now, but I find it interfering with ones privacy if a parent monitors his kids every move without having a reason for doing so.

Because he's a child. He doesn't have to be the one causing trouble - teens are vulnerable to cyberbullying. I'm not saying to stalk his every move, but being aware and open about what sites he has an account with is basic online safety.

If you have seen the movie cyberbully, the main character, Taylor, is monitored by her mother when she uses the internet, and everything is fine, but when her mom gets her a laptop and gives her more autonomy on the internet, the bullies at school take advantage and start bullying her online as well, to the point that she attempted suicide. The entire movie was based on a true story, and the real girl succeeded in killing herself. Tragedies like that are the reason that he should have monitored his son on the internet to begin with.

Bullying is NEVER fine! I don't see how anyone can think that. And don't give me any crap such as "it toughens people up" or "they deserve it". Nobody deserves to be treated like crap. You can disagree with what a person says or does in a polite way, but you should never bash a person as such.
