Thanks for nothing

Today, my mother-in-law came over. Probably thinking that the needles in our fridge were steroids, and wanting to do the right thing, she took them to throw them away. I'm diabetic, and they were my insulin. I went into shock after she left and had to go to the hospital. FML

I’m concerned that your mother in law didn’t come to you about it or ask your spouse Shouldn’t she know you (and her own child) well enough to know you’re diabetic and they aren’t on steroids?

Even if they were steroids, you can be prescribed steroids for legitimate medical reasons, so she still shouldn't have thrown them out.

Does she not know you're diabetic? Regardless, she had absolutely no right to go through your things and mess with them in any way, shape, or form. You should send her the hospital bill and sue her for attempted murder.

Why was she even in your fridge?
