Does she not know you're diabetic? Regardless, she had absolutely no right to go through your things and mess with them in any way, shape, or form. You should send her the hospital bill and sue her for attempted murder.

Even if they were steroids, you can be prescribed steroids for legitimate medical reasons, so she still shouldn't have thrown them out.
