That hurts, BTW

Today, I got surgery on one of my hands. I opted for a local anesthetic instead of being put all the way under. I soon discovered my hand hadn't gone completely numb when the doctor started slicing into the finger that needed operating on. FML

ALWAYS go for the big drugs.

Ouch. When I had my surgery on my hand, they gave me too much anesthetic, I passed out for like six hours man.

so then how are you typing this again?

Let's see... considering it's possible for a person (who isn't a total moron) to type with one hand, I'd think OP's managing just fine.

owww but how did you type?

Are you sure he was operating on the right hand, or was it the left?

FYL, but still, let's remember they have expertise and you do not. You should've just gone all the way under. No pun intended.

Doctors dont just start cutting they make sure you are numb before they cut. Next time find a more practiced doctor.

The same thing happened to me when I needed to go to hospital for my feet. The doctor used around 10 injections, but my feet hadn't gone numb at all. I realised it when he started pulling my nails out.
