Today, I have a girlfriend. Our moms are best friends. Our dads are best friends. Our younger siblings are best friends. Our grandparents have known each other for 70 years. I hate my girlfriend. I have hundreds of texts proving she’s a cheating whore, but I feel trapped by our families' happiness. FML

While I understand the internal conflict, this is a case where you need to “grow a pair” and break up with GF. You don’t even have to explain. In fact it would be much better if you left the term “cheating *****” out of the conversation. Just say you’re not compatible.

She's probably also feeling trapped by her family's happiness. Unfortunately she is choosing a very unhealthy way to deal with it. Have a talk with her and tell your families that you are splitting up together.
