The whole kit and caboodle

Today, I asked my husband for a divorce. He said fine, as long as I got full custody of the kids. I did an actual double take; he didn’t want shared custody, he wanted me to take the kids, no arguments or negotiating, because he doesn’t want the kids anymore. FML

Make him really regret it. Relinquishing parental rights does not absolve him from child support. Get your divorce attorney to negotiate really high child support and alimony. If the house is in your name as well, secure that for yourself and your kids.

Take him up on it , then. That's a "shitty father" attitude.

Not wanting shared custody is NOT the same as giving up his parental rights. He may just have plans to spend his nights at the bar, or traveling for whatever reason and he won't be able to properly care for the kids. I fully agree that he is a piece of dung for even thinking something like that. Full custody should mean more child support for darn sure.

All the more child support for you, then.

Don’t worry you’ll still get your you time, all that child support you’ll be getting will easily cover babysitters!
