When they first came out they were 50 bucks. My parents didnt have money like that for me to just throw it outside and smash it with a hammer. I valued whatever i got for christmas, even when i didnt have a christmas because we were too poor to even eat. I still have the same furby to this day and i plan on giving it to my oldest child for christmas. It still works ad good as it did when i first got it. But i agree they do look like the creature before gremlins... Humquad or something? I dont remember.
