Tight ass friends

Today, I summoned the courage to talk to my friends about the money they owe me for my photography services at their wedding. We had agreed on a fair price, but now they're pissed, claiming that I'm being selfish, and should consider it my wedding gift to them. FML

I used to work with wedding photographers. That's definitely not a present. it's serious work. I've talked to quite a few photographers that won't even touch weddings unless the dollars are there.

I'm starting photography classes next year. If you're 'friends' can't support your career then they shouldn't be your 'friends.' If they'd gone to someone else for their wedding pictures, it would be very expensive. The fact that you'd given them a cheaper price, even though you could've charged them more, should mean something
