Today, a classmate posted a recording of a recent lecture on my university's Facebook page, so we could listen again and take notes at home. A few minutes in, I heard myself asking a question. I then heard snorting and some girl muttering "dumb cunt" under her breath. FML

I have some anxiety that sometimes makes it hard for me to ask questions publicly (some days more then others) what I would do is when the questions popped Into my head I would write t down in the column. If you're using a laptop, you can type it and put it in bold, then after class I would go to the front and ask or even email my prof. Just incase that comment makes you feel anxious or bad. Personally, I don't think you should let that person bring you down. You're paying to learn, so you might as well take it all in :)

This is a really good idea, wish I'd have thought of that. I have a huge problem asking questions in class. I distinctly remember when I was around ten, my teacher snapped and yelled at me in front of the whole class, making fun of the way I raised my hand up and was so eager to ask questions. Ever since then, I haven't asked a single question in class.
