Today, a client refused to pay after I mowed her lawn. Her reasoning? I had entered her basement "without permission." I require on-site equipment be provided, and she kept her mower in her basement. I only knew it was in the basement because she'd showed me, and told me where the key was. FML

There is a lovely product that many have tried and have had success with. It's called Slap-a-hoe. Works wonders.

She probably just wanted an excuse not to pay you, some people are just pathetic OP.

She has a basement with a locking door? Sounds like there are ways you can extract payment from her one way or the other. ;)

Perdix, you have amazed and amused me once again. Love you, man.

If you have multiple clients perhaps you should consider providing your own equipment. The word choice feels pretentious here considering you just mowed someone's lawn with their own lawn mower. Not that you don't deserve payment, or anything like that.

I'd put salt in her yard in the shape of profanity I've seen that it kills the grass I've taught many children with parents who are horrible to me about the more "colorful" side of vocabulary

And people wonder why kids act thr way they do.

That's wage theft- you should file a claim with your local wage and hour department.

This is where you confiscate her lawnmower. Or, alternatively, kill all her grass.

Hunt her down, every day like that paperboy from "Better Off Dead" demanding his "Two Dollars"!

Love that movie! "This mountain is made of PURE SNOW! Do you know the street value of this!?"
