Today, a customer at the Walmart I work at had a hissy fit and began throwing merchandise everywhere, including at my face, because we are Canadian and don't have a show called "Extreme Couponing" for "devoted shoppers" like her. FML

Did you tell her to grab her shit and get out?

She's already at Walmart. Can't really get any cheaper than that.

Give her some coupons and some Canadian Bacon. That'll do it.

Can the coupons be for more bacon?! That would be THE BEST DAY EVER! ...well, ya know...besides a free lifetime supply of bacon..

ONLY IF YOU'RE WILLING TO SHARE THE BACON!

bacon wrapped bacon inside a bacon burger fried in bacon grease with bacon buns!

The wonderful characters you meet at walmart...

You'd think Walmart would be cheap enough already. That show about couponing is just people with wayyyyyyyy to much time and they are wayyyyyyy to cheap. All these new reality shows are ******* SHIT!!! What happened to good TV? And why the **** do people watch that shit to give it ratings?

Read the location, this is from Canada...

In her defense, it could be deduced that the customer is an American visiting a Canadian Walmart, upset that they don't have the same shows as America

If that's the case, that's not a defence. It means she's an ignorant moron who seems to think she is entitled to whatever she feels like and watches too much brain rotting television shows for her own good. People like her are the reason American tourists have such a bad name.

I was saying in 15's defense, not the customer's. 15's comment was pretty dumb but I thought I'd point out it may have a shred of validity

I will assume the customer was American from what she said and how it was phrased. Only Americans in Canada. Reminds me of funny tweets after Obama won saying how to get away from "obamacare" they would move to Canada. Haha dumbasses. We have socialized healthcare. And it is a lot more socialized then you guys will ever get in 4 years.

29-I saw a lot of right-wingers complaining about healthcare and how they were going to run to Canada. I seriously, wanted to flip tables at the failed logic. "America just elected a liberal president! Omg! I'm running to an even more liberal country!" Derp.

The funny thing is, your most liberal candidate is less liberal then our least liberal candidate. Our Conservative party is more liberal then your democrats. And besides, if you have logic to run to candy for that reason, Canada DOESN'T want you.

Awwe, I meant Canada, not candy. I just saw that. :(

38-another reason why I wish I was Canadian-born...

If you guys had a party as liberal as our NDP the general population would be screaming COMMUNISTS!!!

42-subliminal relating of Canada to candy? You sly dog, you...

46- I believe you! They're already yelling socialism/communism [they seem to think the two are interchangeable] now! It's sad really. If the population gets any dumber I may just tell my husband to meet me in Montreal if he wants kids.

Communism and socialism are very different. I must say the USA, as a whole, is pretty anti-anything for helping the average middle class person. Healthcare is a big example of that. My grandfather sawed his thumb off in Texas. If he didn't pass a credit check it wouldn't have been reattached. $26,000 later he has a thumb. Luckily he had insurance from Canada for traveling and he got it all back when he filed a claim. But if he hasn't passed the credit check he would be missing a thumb. Where in Canada a homeless person can get medical care at a hospital. It's just shocking since people are always going on about how America is so "great." But then again, America was founded on a revolution.

Only the savvy see that, however they cut education so much that these simple points are incredibly hard to argue in terms that the simpleminded populous can understand.

Only in America do we have such shows to promote idiocy like that. Once again, people completely running with a comment. I'm glad that someone understood that.

Well she is technically right, canada is apart the North American continent so she shouldn't be getting so much hate. Now if she was saying "only in the USA" then she would look a little silly so in essence lay off people

55- Yeah I think my teacher told me that they only spend $ 100 on education out of $100,000,000. I'm not sure about my numbers, but he said something like that.........

19- You just described your typical American Walmart shopper.

American hospitals can't deny you emergency care because you can't pay for it. They treat you then hound you for the bill later. If they can't get the money from you they make up the difference by charging other people more. That's why they passed the individual health care mandate, because the logic is that if everybody bought health insurance that the cost of healthcare will go down. The logic is flawed though because many people will still refuse to buy health insurance, preferring to pay the tax penalty. Other mandates in Obamacare will also make healthcare costs rise, canceling out or outweighing any decreases in healthcare costs the mandate would cause. It's a really shitty piece of legislation, in my opinion, that will do little to no good, except perhaps making health insurance available to those with preexisting conditions--its only redeeming feature. I've never heard of an American hospital refusing to reattach a severed body part because of a patient's inability to pay the bill. I doubt they would have denied your grandfather the surgery if he had failed the credit check, but were just making sure they'd get paid if they could. I agree with you, though, that Americans who hope to escape the increasing liberalism in the US government by moving to Canada are woefully ignorant. Yet I think many non-Americans misunderstand Americans' skepticism of universal healthcare and other left wing agendas that seek to care for the less fortunate. It's not that we don't care about people who genuinely need help. We just want to be as independent from government as possible in order to help prevent the possible uprising of a tyrannical government. If we rely on government for something like healthcare then, theoretically, if the government were ever to become hostile to its people, the government could revoke our right to healthcare, and then we would be at its mercy. It's the same reason many Americans so jealously guard the right to bare arms, because that right was instituted to provide the people the means to defend themselves from an oppressive government. And, yes, this anti-big government mindset does stem from our history as a revolutionary nation that forcibly overthrew an oppressive government. If the prevention of a dangerously over powerful government means finding an alternative method for caring for our poor, then that is a price many Americans are willing to pay, and do pay in literal terms. Americans give more money to charity than any other nation.

How about Extreme Escorting from the Premises, for entitled twats like her?

WTF? "Today I went without my meds and made an ass of myself in walmart. FML"

Forget the show, I just wish we had decent coupons here in Australia. I find the shows unbelievable, that they can buy hundreds of dollars worth of product and only pay a few dollars.

It is probably faked like all the other reality shows. I wouldn't be surprised if the show paid the stores for the groceries behind the scene and told then to show like $5 or something. I feel bad for the people behind those people having to wait for then to buy way to many groceries that will just rot away in the pantry.

I wondered about that. And as you said the buying of so many products that will expire before they can use them! Just so much waste.

I was half-watching Extreme Couponing today, and a 15-year-old couponer added fifty bottles of barbeque sauce to her shopping list. I didn't really get mad, though, until she said, "I don't even LIKE barbeque sauce!" It's just disgusting. Why go out and get fifty bottles of something you don't even like?

59 I saw that episode, made me cranky as well. And love that you were "half-watching it". It's like a train wreck, you can't look away. 69 Good to hear from someone who knows. I hope your friend is not like the BBQ sauce train wreck!

62 - I was playing with my bunny, who likes to eat remote controls. I was forced, I tell you, forced to endure the horrors of couponing! You're absolutely right, it is like a train wreck.

Ooooo much sympathy too you. Did you make your bunny watch along with you?

Yes, and she can no longer eat without assistance.

Always love to hearing about the dark side of reality TV. Love OP's username though!

A better idea would be 2-for1 on a giant bottle of sleeping pills.

That is really ridiculous what a nut. Not everyone has the same shows or ways of operating stores. I gotta say to onlychild obviously from Canada by all the comments. My boyfriend has lived there all his life and I plan to join him ASAP. I never hear bad things only good ones. Not that there aren't problems like everywhere but wow.

It sucks like every other reality show. She was probably just angry that she was watching the show.
