Today, a customer was rude to me, and I was rude back. He then asked for my manager, and I told him I was the store manager. He then identified himself as the corporate owner. FML

Never be rude to the back to the person who is being rude to you! because maybe later they will realize later that they were being a jerk (or they'll just forget about it) but if you're rude, then they'll tell their rude friends that the "guy who works at Walmart rude and I didn't do anything!!"

shouldve told him you were the CEO. BAM!

Unfortunate for you, they often go to different restaurants they own to purposely start drama to see how it is handled by the work team. It is a sneaky way for them to see how you handle and unhappy/difficult customer. YDI for not doing your job correctly. :P

That was probably a test and you failed. You should never be rude to a customer no matter how much of an ass they are being. Sorry OP

As a manager u should know that the costumer is always right

One of the first rules in the customer service industry is that the customer is always right, even when they're not. With that being said, you should have killed him with kindness instead of fighting fire with fire.
