Today, a student threw her hot coffee at me after I told her I was giving her an F. For months I've been telling her she needs to hand in missing work, but she thought I was bluffing. She got suspended, but my clothes are still ruined and I still got burned. FML

OP here. Luckily, the burn is not bad at all. I don't even need medical attention. The skin is just red and a bit sore, similar to a minor sunburn. It will be 100% gone in another day or two. She was suspended for the rest of the school year. I do not intend to take legal action, because she will likely be back in my classroom next year. (It's an adult education program, so there are no restrictions for accepting students with records. Pretty sure this girl already has a few assault charges in her past.) Thank you for the support and sympathy! :)

You could probably press charges against her, as well. I would. Teach that little brat that there are consequences to her actions.

wow, the **** is wrong with her? Hope she gets expelled.

Kids these days, you did nothing wrong. I hope it works out for you.

Every generation has dumbass motherfuckers.

In regarding to comment 2, I didn't at the time read the 'got suspended' part. I apologize, and I've been trying to edit it.

Sadly they don't have an edit option or a delete comment option. This really sucks. I wish FML could come up with such updates. People tend to misunderstand on this platform too easily. Also, we can't use emojis.?

There is an edit option. But it expires about a minute or so after you post.

And it isn't available on mobile, which really sucks.

#83, the app has an edit function too, even with the new update. You just have to tap on the comment to edit it and you have about 100 secs to change it.

"delete comment" (within the same time limit as "edit comment") and emojis should definitely be something added in upcoming updates

Press charges. The school should not suspend her, but expel her. You could have gotten much worse than you did. What next? She stabs you with a sharp object? Then will they listen? Or does another student have to get hurt?

Wow, what an egoistic bitch that student is. If she has no respect for her teachers, she has none for her parents either. Take care of those burns OP.

There is likely no school with a Code of Conduct that allows such behavior. See that she's expelled AND sue her for assault. I hope you'll do something to make an example of her and avoid having other faculty members experience the same type of thing. FYL.

Definitely press charges - some lessons need to be learned in places other than school.

I hope they recommend her for expulsion, because that's a battery.

Who raises these ******** kids nowadays?

People who complain that this generation is shit.
