Hahaha some Indian computer scammer man just rang and asked for my mummy or daddy too ;D
That happened to me the other day, except when I told him my mum wasn't there, he called me a liar and insisted on speaking with her.
One of the girls I work with is 27 and someone asked her the same question when she answered her door. I, on the other hand, am 20 and got called "ma'am" 3 times in one day at work. Count your blessings OP.
Lol I live in Canada :P
This happened to my mom when she was like 35. She said her mommy wasn't home. Lol.
I get that all the time because me voice is high!
The exact reverse always happens to me. Often people will think its my mom when I answer the phone. I then have to explain I'm her daughter. I'm 13, by the way.
If you're young, it's always better to be mistaken for a child than mistaken for an old person!
I don't really see how being mistaken for one is any better than being mistaken for the other. In my late twenties and early 30s, I was working in a middle school (6th & 7th graders, 11 to 13 year olds), and was often mistaken for a student there. Maybe I'm crazy, but I did NOT take that as a compliment at all. To me, telling someone they look/sound young is a compliment, telling someone they look/sound like a little kid is rude.
Next time tell them "yea sure hold on... My daddy said to go **** yourself" :)

Tell him they are busy in their bedroom
Next time, use your best Consuela voice. Thats what I always do. Is your mommy there? No, no, I have no money.
