Today, I was busy going over wedding plans with my fiancé, when my mother called. Apparently, she wants me to "drop the joke" about this "fake engagement", because she was under the impression I was only dating a white guy to piss her and dad off, and was now getting carried away with it. FML

At least she didn't call you retarded when she first heard you were engaged. When I showed my ring to my Grandma the first words out of her mouth where "You're retarded, but it's a pretty ring" now she says "you're being stupid/retarded but when is it going to happen? Well why haven't you set a date yet? You're going to be engaged for at least a year?!?!? Well that's stupid, why would you do something like that?"
