Today, after months of looking at cribs and picking out the perfect one for my unborn daughter, the store informed me that they no longer make that crib, even though the model is right there on the sales floor. I had to leave as my hormones got the best of me and I started bawling. FML

OP here. Thank you so much for all your kind and supportive words. I seem to be emotional over everything lately. Thank goodness I have such a supportive husband. I know everything happens for a reason, and we will find the perfect crib. Obviously that one wasn't meant to be.

Tell the manager that they should put away the crib if they don't still sell it.

I didn't have a crib til my son was 1. The crazy hormones and anxiety of things being perfect is overwhelming. It's funny looking back and realizing all the stuff you won't need. He slept in either his pack n play or coslept so that he could nurse so I wouldn't have to worry about waking up. (I'm a heavy sleeper and would sleep through). Don't be sad op. Being pregnant it tough, but everything works out in the end.

exactly! invest in a bassinet. you'll be using that mostly for the first year anyway!

Sorry that happened. Try asking if they'll sell you the floor model!

If it's discontinued you should be able to get it, and at a discount to boot.

I completely agree with #3. That's happened to me before...wanting a product that was out on the floor/shopping area but when I went to inform an employee which one I'd buy: "Oh, uh, sorry ma'am! We no longer make that one." *******, really? Please remove it off of the display meant for products you are able to purchase then! It's a kind of a tease otherwise.

Maybe it was just one of those cases of the fact that the particular style was out of season. I know it's ridiculous, but a lot of places get new stock depending on what's popular and in season. My cousin had a similar problem, because the new season of cribs came out, and she didn't like the patterns on the on which was supposed to be "similar". I'm not saying that is the definite reason, as there COULD have been a fault with the model, but it is an entirely possible situation. Good luck OP!

Don't need hormones to cry over something this disappointing/upsetting!

Why not buy the model? You might be able to go back and buy the floor model If you want it that badly, or check other stores for that model or get one really close

Steal the floor model! If you're caught blame it on the hormones!

Sure it is hormones, could have asked for the assembled floor model! Sure Hubby would have been happy w the eliminated work!!

You should've stayed and pulled a bitch fit. Hope you find your perfect crib, OP. :]
