Today, after months of looking at cribs and picking out the perfect one for my unborn daughter, the store informed me that they no longer make that crib, even though the model is right there on the sales floor. I had to leave as my hormones got the best of me and I started bawling. FML

OP here. Thank you so much for all your kind and supportive words. I seem to be emotional over everything lately. Thank goodness I have such a supportive husband. I know everything happens for a reason, and we will find the perfect crib. Obviously that one wasn't meant to be.

Tell the manager that they should put away the crib if they don't still sell it.

From working in a movie theater as well as a snooty show barn, I can assure you that the customer or client is actually very rarely right about ANYthing.

#34 if you truly do believe that? i would love you to go into a store and say that everything is free. Try it and let me know how it goes cause technically then they should let you leave with everything for no money. With that let me know if you ever open a store.

Usually you can ask to buy the display model. I've cut deals with store managers before that would sell me the display model for a reduced price even!

If you have the model #, then just order it from somewhere else

some people are spoiled rotten I tell you!

She's hormonal. Haven't you ever been so hormonal you cried over something you might not have cried over if it wasn't for hormones? I know I have.

So wanting the best for your new baby is spoiled? Thanks for the heads up, I was previously unaware.

Ask for the display , and don't worry, hormones can often get the better of us. Congratulations though x

I hadn't cried for almost 5 years and then I got pregnant with my daughter and cried at least once a month, including when I was upset because I was starving and we were stuck in traffic. Pregnancy gets the best of us so I wouldnt worry to much about it. Usually they will sell the floor model for a reduced price unless the crib was recalled in which case Im sure you dont want it anymore. Otherwise use the model number to find it online. Best of luck OP

I know that feeling! I was going out to dinner with my hubby and he wanted Famous Daves (it had just opened in our area) But the wait was a hour and a half long. 7 months pregnant and starving, I started bawling! My sweetie took me elsewhere :) As for the crib, skip the display, I worked in retail and have seen teens and adults standing in display cribs. You will find something else or find the same one elsewhere with better pricing! Keep your head up OP!

A good cry never hurt anyone. You can always ask to buy the display model. If you have the model number you can search for it online. Chances are, you will find it and they will ship it for free. Never fear. Ladies used to put their babies in an open dresser drawer in their bedroom. Your baby will not only appreciate that you put the thought into finding her the perfect crib, but love you no matter where she sleeps.

Poor mama. I remember those hormones. I used to only buy display models because I was on a budget.

consider having one built if you have the money.

I understand the raging hormones I hope you're doing well op
