When I worked at a restaurant serving only the smokers got breaks. Basically when you work in a restaurant you don't get a break. So I pretended that I started smoking so I could have a bit of a break. Maybe childcare is the same way? FYL.

yeeeah, that happened to me too. When I was working 12 hour shifts in a tiny fish and chips restaurant. To eat I had to go into the kitchen and watch for customers through the order window and stop if someone came in. this was only like 6 years ago, in canada.

You're entitled by law to get two breaks. You can report your boss. :)

I live in the States, and though breaks are supposed to be a legal entitlement in most states, an extremely busy environment sometimes prevents you from having them. But I've never heard of an employer dictating who is and is not allowed a break. z Sorry, OP.

If they are not smoking around the kids then whats the problem? Guess what people smoke. It's an addiction and a choice they make for their own bodies. Instead of judging by what they dpnfor themselves judge by how they treat your children and their children.

Smokers are jerks! Selfish jerks. Most of my family smokes, and they're all jerks. They don't have any consideration nor respect for NON smokers. Ridiculous. You should report them!!
