Today, after our flight got cancelled back home, I called the airline to work out a replacement flight. I sat in hold for 2 hours waiting as patiently as I could. Then, the automated voice says, "There are no available agents. Good bye." FML

OP here. yeah i flew into a fit of rage which resulted in angry snow shoveling. I get that the airlines were busy but being hung up on by microsoft Sam was just to much.

Everyone that was on that flight is probably trying to call the airline. Drive to the airport and talk to them in person.

When Microsoft Sam reads you bedtime stories, it's awesome. When Microsoft Sam gives you disappointing news, you flip your shit. This is completely normal behaviour.

When I fly I always make sure to have the airline app because you for the most part can usually reschedule your flight right in the app. it'll show a list of alternative flights and you can pick one.

I am actually a proponent of removing the "today" portion of the FML, because the vast majority of FMLs don't occur the day of posting.

#50, while it may be true that most FMLs occurred way back in time, "15 years ago my alarm clock broke on the day of my important job interview" sounds way less appealing.
