Typically, undertakers own the graveyard, not an individual plot. Those are owned by just about anyone. Families sometimes buy multiple to ensure they'll be buried together, so even younger people may own them. Did anyone you know pass away, did you buy life insurance, etc?
Owning a plot has nothing to do with being an undertaker.
