Someone should check his/her credentials. Wouldn't be surprised if the words "Cracker Jack" appeared on his/her certifications. Get some REAL help OP. What you're feeling shouldn't be taken lightly. Best of luck.
Thats suckish... You should find someone whos got a better qualification in psychology
I hope you find the help you need! Don't let it put you off talking about it, hopefully you have friends and family who'll support you. It's very easy to isolate yourself when having problems like that but you don't have to suffer in silence!
I guess that's why it's free.
Get a second opinion that can get to know you and your case more than one session. Partying esp alcohol is a depressant it wont fix your problems and certainly wont help you feel better if your depressed. Ask your primary care physician for a referral. Good luck and hope you feel better soon
Every free counselor I saw was nuts. One was a bible thumping loon. One thought my problems were from EM radiation from power lines. The other wanted me to put green sticker dots around the house to remind me to not be anxious.
Best advice from anyone that I've ever heard!
Yeah bro, you should, uh, just go party and uh, yeah you'll be fine no worries bro
What a horrible psychologist. Hold on, OP, it'll get better

You need to go see a real counselor. Depression is a serious issue and to have someone the school employs take it so lightly is really worrisome.
Some people don't really understand from others point of view.
