This is normal, read Freud's books. Children have certain periods in their life, one of which is girls adoring their fathers and boys their mother. It is perfectly natural and it will eventually pass.

#196 Are you sure you should be advising someone to take Sigmund Freud's words as gospel? As I renember a good part of his teachings were that children wanted to have sex with their parents. If so then this FML has taken a darker turn than expected.
