Today, as I was making instant hot chocolate from the hot water dispenser in the break-room at work, a coworker informed me that it was industrial "recycled" wastewater that was only supposed to be used for washing tools. Thanks. I've only been doing that every day for the past 8 months. FML

If you haven't gotten sick yet, I must bow down to you for surviving for so long.

How do you not notice something like that after that many months?

"hot water dispenser" moron. SMH read the fml

Why would they put that in a breakroom where people are EXPECTED to prepare food and drinks? Maybe OSHA should be asked if that is appropriate.

why would they put that in the break room? and not put a sign on it? you need to report that to some sort of labor board or something

Without more evidence I can't be sure, but I am doubting it. Yur co-worker is probably lying to you. I seriously doubt that non-potable water would be allowed in a break room without signage. That would definitely be a safety hazard, possibly a fatal one. It would also probably break OSHA and local rules concerning commercial food areas. Oh, and one more thing. depending on where you live, most of your drinking water might be "industrial recycled water" as water purification plants are industrial and all water is basically recycled.

Congratulations on being one of the dumbest people on the planet. You truly are a ******* moron.

There obviously wasn't a sign saying "This is recycled waste water."

How the frig was he suppose to know that?? It's in a break room with no sign! Why would water for washing tools be in the break room?

That was rather negligent of them not to have a label or memo saying that a water faucet in the break room, which would conventionally contain water for drinking, contained water unfit for drinking. They had a responsibility to inform you of that. If you're likely to have health problems from that, you'd probably even have a legal case.

You are a dumbass if it was on the coffee machine. Think about this... Where does the water come from to make the coffee. Do you really think any company would do that without putting a sign or anything to tell the worker that it is recycled water?

Gee, I dont know. Under the fml says its from the united states, so my answer is NO.

Wow doc, you sure know how to insult both parties of an argument. You sir, earned my respect.
