Today, at college, I asked the girl who usually sits next to me if she wanted to team up on our latest assignment. She gave me a disgusted look, said "Um, I'm MARRIED. Creep." and walked away. Seriously, what the fuck? FML

I haven't seen this until almost 3 months later! Thanks for the support, turns out she was LYING about being married and just wanted to not work with me in the most obvious way.

Maybe she didn't hear you right? You can only hope

Wow she's full of herself. You definitely dodged a bullet not pairing with her OP.

I'm not gonna lie, I've done that. But in my defense, I was in a controlling marriage and my then husband did not approve of me socializing with other men unless they were his friends. At the time I thought that it was the respectful thing to do for him but now I realize how absurd and immature it sounds, and how badly I was being manipulated. You never know op, it could be she's a self-centered bitch, or she could be an awesome girl that unfortunately has been stripped of her personality by her emotionally abusive partner.

I hate it how some girls automatically assume that the guy wants to get with them when they're just wanting to work together on something or just friendly conversation. She needs to get over herself.

I guess some people still believe that guys and girls can't be friends.

Was the assignment for Human Sexuality class?

Based off of her inability to discern between romancing and school work I'd say you played Russian Roulette and won with that one.

That makes me happy and giggle when playing it out in my head.

Or say " wow I guess he was right he sure beat me on that bet."

It's sad that she's in college but still can't differentiate between flirting and something as simple as asking to pair up. Such a clogged up brain.

Translation: Every ounce of self-esteem she has is tied to being someone's wife. You could have probably said, "Nice weather, isn't it?" and her response would have been the same.

Some women think all men speak to them to get in their pants.

In most cases it's true, but in a classroom setting, probably not.
