Today, at work, I got to wait on one of those tables where everyone had very complex orders, and some of them sent their food back. When the time finally came for me to bring them their check and receive my well-earned tip, I returned only to discover that they'd dined and dashed. FML

in Georgia it's only if you make up to minimum wage including tips that they don't have to pay minimum wage but that don't help if the restraunt pays under the table.

I'm sorry, "well-earned tip?" If they kept sending their orders back, that means you messed up their food. You didn't earn squat.

I've said this already, but It's actually hardly ever the fault of the wait staff, Im a waitress and always have my customers confirm the order i've written down by reading it back to them, yet i've had meals sent back a few times. Sometimes the chefs get it wrong, and sometimes the customers are deliberately awkward.

That totally sucks! I understand completely and feel your pain. I work as a server at a restaurant called Logan's Roadhouse in roseville Michigan, and there are people that do that there as well. usually the people who wanna order the 15$ and 22$ prime rib and porterhouse steak dinners.

Ugh! The nerve! I'm lucky to have not had that happen yet! I do get my very fair share of jackass customers... I'm sorry to hear, OP..

I worked in food service, and that is precisely the kinds of tables that need to be watched. What is really satisfying is when you catch the person, and they have to call someone.. particularly if it is a group of teenagers and their parents have to come pay the bill... and it be all of their parents. LOL

If more than one of them had to send their food back, chances are it was substandard. They probably objected to paying, and rightly so.

There is a special place in hell for people that do that.
