Today, during the early hours, I got hungry and went to grab something to eat. I entered the kitchen, only to see my stark-naked dad sitting at the table, eating cereal and reading the paper. He just nodded at me and said, "Son." I think I need a new pair of eyes. FML

You know what they say. It's only awkward if you make it awkward. Just kidding, that's awkward as hell any way you slice it.

After finishing Sssssss I read this. It made my day before it even began XD That truly does suck, and I've had worse. Like my dad being high on sleeping pills after a shower and opening his legs in front of me, when he was wearing nothing but a towel, while eating my food. Sorry about your moment. But it still gave me a good giggle.

Man sitting naked at the table, eating cereal and reading the newspaper… most natural thing in the world!

Seriously though, you need to take him to the doctor. This is a symptom of a problem like maybe a stroke?

A single incident probably isn't proof of anything, but if there are repeated instances of socially-inappropriate behavior, and there wasn't any other rational cause for the behavior--like Dad having suddenly decided to take up a nudist lifestyle--I'd wonder if Dad wasn't experiencing early-onset Alzheimer's, or there was some other illness that was inducing dementia.

Sounds like his life's a party.

Well you are not so lucky didn't get the morning hug did you

YDI! Why? 1. It's his house, not yours! 2. It was the "early" morning hours! 3. He didn't expect company! 4. He was hungry! 5. He wasn't bothering anyone! 6. He was eating & reading, not boning your Mom or some other chick! 7. You should have been asleep! I call my boys Son all the time, it's a term of endearment as far as I'm concerned! There's nothing formal about it!!! Bet you won't get up in the "early" morning hours again!!! Go Dad!!!!
