Explain what happened and reschedule. Here's a hint, a few flowers can go a long way in showing a girl you care. Just don't break out the roses until several dates in, unless it's just one rose.

Hopefully your date will understand and agree to another date. If it goes well you both can look back on this and laugh. If your date does not agree to another date, or if it goes badly, don't worry, it is only the first of many dates... Some wonderful, and some not so wonderful.

I'm sure if you explain and apologize they'll be happy to reschedule OP. Putting that much work into getting ready for a date is very admirable. And if they aren't understanding, then cut your losses and move on. That's not someone who you'd want to be with anyway.

After all that work, no doubt you would be tired. At least you had good intentions!
