Today, I asked my best friend why she didn't ask our other best friend Anna to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. She said, "She's too pretty. I need ugly bridesmaids to make me look better." I am the maid of honor. FML

Today, I rang up a good friend to ask her to be one of the two bridesmaids at my upcoming wedding. Before I could ask, she let me know that she would not be attending my wedding, as, "Weddings are expensive, so I'm not attending ones for people that are just acquaintances." FML

Today, my best friend announced she was getting married. I've always wanted to be a bridesmaid but she then added, "You can't be in the bridal party because you don't have the same body type as the other bridesmaids. But you can still come to the bachelorette party!" FML

Today, I’m supposed to be a bridesmaid at my sister's wedding, but she doesn’t want me in the photos because I’m over a foot taller than her and the other bridesmaids, and it will look silly in the photos. I told her I won’t even bother attending, and mom actually took her side. FML

Today, I was the Maid of Honor at my friend's wedding. Months earlier, we had a bitter fight, but she picked out a beautiful dress for me and I thought we were past it. When I began speaking, the lights changed to a weird brightness and my friend snickered. My dress was completely see-through. FML

I agree with #9- she's the one with the pathetic life if she has to resort to such tactics to make herself feel good. I wouldn't even want to be her maid of honor anymore. I wouldn't even want to be friends with a person who's so shallow.

Well, overlooking how incredibly much is wrong with that (what is the point of a wedding again? Oh, I remember - to look really pretty and cost your loved ones as much money as humanly possible, right!), I'm thinking she was thinking of bridesmaids in a different category than the maid of honor. Not that that doesn't mean that she isn't aware that this applies to you, too, since you'll be right up there with you, but... yeah. Wow. I wouldn't forget that one in a hurry!!!!
