yeah it's you're mom, it's stupid you expect her to pay you back...it's your mom, you shouldn't expect anything of her, she gave you life and raised you!
lesson learned. don't give your mom any money again. I learned that lesson as well
You're an ungrateful ass...just sayin'
u deserve it. after all she has done for u. u cant give her 50 bucks without asking for it back? i hope ur kids treat u like shit. :)
I do not think that the kids have any responsibility to give back to their parents. After all the parents chose to have kids, and not the other way around. Yes there are parents that do not care in way or another about their kids, but state laws, state that someone has to feed, clothe, give shelter to, and send to school for so many years. If you have kids just so you want to be respected, you need to think why you are having them in the first place. Op has every right to complain about lending money and then being dodged afterwards. What kid of person would borrow money from their own kid then stiff them?
My father kept a small small notebook of everything that we "owed" him, this included for clothing and food, and anything else he could think of, field trips, and everything else for school was considered debt to him, Whenever we got paid (while still in high school) he would stand behind us, when our paychecks were cashed and then expect a percentage of the money then and there. If my grandparents sent money for birthdays, Christmas or whatever he would give us a small percentage and keep the rest. Not everyone has rosy memories of a Norman Rockwell painting while growing up.
one time my sister left the curling iron on and my father took the hot iron and burned her arm with it. She is over thirty and still has the scar. To battle a bed wetting problem my father rubbed my face in piss. Before you cast your fingers at me learn where I am coming from or shut up.
Then how was she going to pay back the $50?
Most lazy shirkers who are unemployed are on the public dole (welfare, disability for a fake injury or one that has healed but they're pretending it hasn't) so I am inclined to think this lazy slob of a mother has an 'income' albeit at taxpayer expense. Taking money for nothing has become habitual so now she doesn't want to pay back what she owes her child, probably using the same rationales listed here, i.e., "I gave birth to you, I don't owe YOU ******* shit, YOU owe ME for not aborting you, you ungrateful jit bag." OP, now you know what kind of person she is. She is too selfish to be a good parent and she is a bald-faced liar. Run as fast as you can as quickly as you can. Normal mothers would run in front of a train for their child, no matter what age the child is; yours would push you in front of it so she could play the grieving mother card, sue and collect and never have to worry about where her cigarette money is coming from again.
How prejudiced you are... That's awful. Anyway, maybe OP's mother couldn't pay her those 50 $ back. That happens...
No 72, if the mom were an honest person who truly intended to repay the OP, then she would have simply said, "I can't pay you back right now." The fact that she ran out the door to a clearly fake job demonstrates what a pathetic liar she is and that she has no intention of repaying. If this bum REALLY wanted a job, she could get one. Even in the worst possible economy I was never unemployed because I was willing to do any work for a check. Fast food places are usually hiring since the turnover is so high. Granted it's not a great job but it's a job and by extenion a paycheck. People who 'can't find a job' really mean they can't find a job they really want. Even in this down economy, our local paper still has pages of job openings. Granted, most of them are low end jobs (menial, entry level) but they are all still jobs. Those who are unemployed and truly want to earn their crust could do so and in fact, many employers are having a hard time filling slots because potential employees are asking companies to hold jobs open for them until their unemployment runs out so they can return to the work force only when they absolutely have to, not when the job is actually open. This mom has been unemployed for 3 years, hence she is a lazy piece of shit who doesn't want to dirty her princess hands by flipping burgers or whatnot, especially since it's SO much easier to lay on the sofa watching crap on TV all day while Uncle Sam (aka the taxpayers) sends her a check. In the battle between pride and laziness, laziness wins out more often than not. A human being with personal pride will take a job they didn't necessarily want so they could earn their own money. A lazy slob will do anything to collect a government check for as long as possible and think the person who is working for their money is a stupid asshole.
just pissed myself laughing :L
Big deal, it's $50! I'm sure she spent thousands of dollars on you when you were growing up

If you knew she didn't have a job, why did you expect her to pay you back?
YDI for lending money to someone who is clearly unable to pay you back :/
