Today, I attended my aunt's open-casket funeral. My sister spent the first quarter of an hour neither grieving nor celebrating her life, but whining that the "cute" clothes my aunt was dressed in could have been handed down to her, instead of being "wasted". FML

sophietr8 tells us more.

In order to explain more, my aunt had promised to lend her the shirt, so she was a little angry that my uncle used that one in the open casket. It was just a momentary thing, but yeah, it was pretty bitchy. I already had a long conversation with her about it.

You should have told her that you were mortified, and she was dead wrong because her logic had a fatal flaw. What, too soon?

I'm wondering how old the sister is. Not that her actions were acceptable in any situation, but it would make it slightly less awful if she were 13 or so than if she were 25.

That's when you slap her upside her head.

your sister is a complete brat. i hope she shows more respect for the dead in the future. FYL

Why do women think clothing is "cute" ? I'll never understand that.

What does that say about you as a role model......

Well she's right in a sense. I mean why do people get buried with valuables? They're gonna decay anyway, so why dress them in something expensive?

dude seriously maybe the clothes was her favorite outfit in life I know there was this dress my great grandmother loved to wear my mom and grandmother my great grandmothers daughter wanted to bury her in that however the rich bitches of the family my aunt my moms sister and my great aunt my grandmothers sister decided on an ugly purple pant suit because it quote cost 500 dollars where as my great grandmothers favorite dress was like twenty dollars

That selfish hag! How could she? But in all seriousness your sister is crazy, you should probably have her checked.

What the hell is wrong with some people respect the deceased.
