Today, I bought a brand new flat screen TV. When I brought it home it didn't work. Furious, I walked into Best Buy and yelled at a guy in a tucked in blue polo and khakis. I asked him why it didn't work and he said he didn't know. I kept screaming. He didn't have a nametag. He didn't work there. FML

Even if he had a name tag, why would you yell at him? "Hey, you work here! You must know exactly what's wrong with the TV I bought from some other employee a while ago! "

YDI for just walking in and yelling. This should go to notalwaysright.com

I would've beat your ass in the classical music section. lmao @ you getting your ass whooped to classical music.

If you have a problem with something you bought you take it to the help desk, how would a random person walking round have been able to help you even if they did work there? Maybe you should invest in some tranquilizers too.

This is wrong on so many levels, but the worst part is that you don't see this as an FML because you threw a public tantrum, rather that it was directed at someone who wasn't employed by Best Buy. Firstly, I'm sure the TV was fine but you were too dumb to figure out how to work it. Anyone who would walk up to some stranger in a store and start bellowing like that can't be sufficiently smart enough to read a manual. Secondly, just because you THOUGHT the guy worked at Best Buy, what the hell gave you the right to start lashing into him? Obviously he didn't sell you the TV since you didn't recognize him. Do you actually think every single employee of Best Buy is to be personally and punitively held responsible for all aspects of their organization's operations? Thirdly, even if the TV had been defective the customer service department was your destination, not the salesmen. And take it from me: politely exchanging the item for another one with a grin and a shrug would have been easier on you and the people you came into contact with. You'd have saved yourself stress and embarrassment. Lastly, people like you are the reason this is such a rotten society to live in sometimes. Your attitude that's it's perfectly OK to treat complete strangers like garbage in an infantile "me-first" way is why I hated every moment of my teenage years when I worked retail sector jobs. That's also why I plan to encourage my kids to do the same when they are teenagers: so they are inspired to get decent jobs that don't involve having anything to do with gutter scum like you.

Serves you right, how ignorant of you. Even if he did work there you would have had no right whatsoever to rave like a psychotic hell-child just because your item didn't work. It isn't the employees' fault. Shame, shame, triple shame. I feel sorry for everyone you know.

They have a "Geek Squad" for a reason.

Jeez...people like you deserve to be shot

Screaming at people won't fix your TV.

You didnt see the nametag and yelling wont get you anywhere.

Dude, i'm a Geek Squad Agent. if i see you come in and just start yelling at the first available blue shirt, may God have mercy on your soul. When you return your TV, we are the ones who determine whether you get a refund, replacement, or it was your fault. and just for you acting like an ass to everyone there, all i have to do is put a big ol' "CUSTOMER NEGLIGENCE" stamp on the box, and that's all she wrote. $2,000 down the drain. Just remember, be nice to the ladies and gentlemen in blue shirts, and the black ties. you're gonna need us.

"Why doesn't it work?" is a question to ask the manufacturer, not the store selling your electronics. Ask them "Can I exchange this for one that works?" instead. Also, grow up. Tantrums don't solve problems. also, ignore the Geek Squad. They don't do anything you can't do yourself.
