People... 3 weeks!!! He ignored her and canceled dates... They did not deserve that at all. The guy could've gone on at least one of the planned dates and not ignore her!!!!!

If you've been together long enough that he's planning proposal (assuming he isn't crazy or anything), 3 weeks is nothing. You should have communicated with him about your concerns and that you were upset instead of acting in such an immature way by bottling it up and blind-siding him. With his mind all wrapped up in how much he clearly loved you in addition to excitement over the proposal, how was he supposed to realize he was upsetting you that much without you saying anything? Communication is key, people.
