So ******* what? You know what I think? I think you heard the name of the flower and thought "I could write an FML about that" and came up with this bullshit. A flower is a flower and as long as it's pretty, people generally don't mind. My mom is a florist and has never had to deal with the names of flowers bothering people.

That is one of the most ironic things ever. I don't see what the big deal is though, it's just a name of a flower. And I disagree with #1. Flowers are a very thoughtful gift to those who are sick, especially if in a hospital. It brightens their day, and as a consequence they feel better, and get well faster.
