Today, I called the guy I've liked for a long time and told him how I felt. He didn't say anything except for "hello." After I spilled my feelings, I hear "Haha, just kidding I'm not here right now! Call me back later!" FML

Today, I was on the phone to a guy I really like from work. We'd been talking for about 2 minutes, when he said he was getting another call, and put me on hold. I was so excited to be on the phone with him, it took me a whole 15 minutes to realise he had actually just hung up on me. FML

...and? Assuming you meant it was his voicemail and not him actually answering the phone, nothing you said was recorded. That starts *after* the beep.

I had a voicemail like that once. I used to get a lot of messages saying they were annoyed with it; apparently they kept falling for it. o_O ANYWAY, maybe he did answer, and maybe he did hear you, but he just decided to pull that move because he was making it awkward. Or it really was an answering machine. I'm just saying. Either way, FYL.

that is totally my voicemail! haha all my friends get so pissed when they call me and they hear that. OMG OP though, that's really sad. but when you talk in person there are no trick voicemails. talk face to face. best of luck to y'all!

lol, that would suck if it was actually him just pretending to be his voicemail... But I had a voicemail like this. My friends and family would get really mad cuz they would fall for it every time. Then one time I really did answer and my mom thought it was my voicemail and didn't say anything until i finally said "mom?" then she was like, oh I thought it was your voicemail... Well I guess it's good that you get another chance. This first time could have been kind of a practice run. And I agree with what other people said. You probably should wait to express your feelings until he says more than "Hello?" Better luck next time OP!!
