Dear #49, Apartment was misspelled TWICE- that probably was not a typo. &if your parents are paying your bills and you are 22 years old- then you have no right to complain if they do something like this. they have complete control over you until youre fully independent. sorryyyy.
unless they're paying, like everyone else said, they can't do that.
couldn't they only do this if they were paying? in which case you should jsut pay for your own television bill..
Considering that you can't spell "apartment," it is probably appropriate that your parents monitor whether you are mature enough to watch that junk. I'm not a bible thumper; I'm actually incredibly liberal but you should probably grow up a little.
kellster, Sounds like you're just jealous. I don't hate the guy just because his parents pay for his apartment (assuming you're correct). TV is important to some people; I'm betting you've gotten some things that you probably consider necessities too that other people consider luxuries.
#57 is right. 22-year-olds should be able to be independent, but the college financial aid system basically screws a lot of people out of being able to live independent adult lives because of expected parental contributions, and that shouldn't deprive them of the right to choose what they want to watch on TV. The OP's cable situation might be his/her own fault, but it might not be.
learn how to spell apartment before you complain about being treated like a child. ok.
Read 10 pages of FML. This guy/gal posts repeatedly, conflicting information every time. You've got a spamming attention ***** here.

I don't see how your parents could do this, unless they own the cable account and pay your bill (at age 22)... so you deserve this.
Can't you just tell the company to remove the block? If you can't because your parents are paying the bill, then I suggest that you and your roommates start drumming up a little extra cash to pay for your own.
