Seriously, you are 16 years old, what do you really know about this war to begin with? You were about 9 years old when we began the "war on terrorism" that we are still hiding behind. One of the biggest influences upon this war and why we are in it is OIL. It is a widely known and accepted fact by the American people. It has been admitted (granted in offhanded ways) by our own politicians that this war is based on the possession and control of oil. Since about the 1860's onward almost every war in the middle east which America has taken part in has been because of oil. This is not a new war and it is not a war on terrorism, the war on terrorism is a new face for an old battle to hide behind. And that battle is for OIL. You still pay out of your ass for gas because the government and big business make money that way. We live in a capitalist society. You don't even remember buying gas when it was less than $2 per gallon, you weren't even old enough to drive then. I'd be shocked if you even remember your mother paying less than $1 per gallon considering your age. Honestly even if we controlled all of the oil in this world we would still have high prices. It is a nonrenewable resource, there will always be an excuse to overcharge for something that many people can't live their day to day lives without that will someday be GONE.

I think I know a lot about the war considering I (yes am only 16) live on fort hood and my dad went to OIF 1, 2, 4, and 6. Eff you for assuming I know nothing about it. I've heard more inside details about this war than you can even begin to imagine. And yeah I was 9 when the war started. I remember 9-11 like it happened, no, better than if it had happened just 10 minutes ago. I remember seeing my father cry for the first time ever leaving babenhausen, germany for iraq. Nit knowing when i'd see him again, if ever. It got to the point that a 10 min call was long, and an email a week extraordinary. And you know what? 7 months into the tour my dad got shot. He's okay now, but it pains me that he and all the other soldiers are fightingbdor YOUR freedom to talk about conspiracy theories. Honestly, if it's for oil then why are we not seeing any of it? Does it just vanish? All of you people who say the war is about oil obviously have no conections to the military at all.
