Today, I came home to find water dripping from the ceiling in my apartment laundry room/pantry. All of my groceries were ruined. Maintenance's suggestion? "Put a bucket under it." FML

While I'm sure that's not what you wanted to hear and they could have handled the situation better; but that is a good idea for a temporary solution.

Time for the yellow pages- and let the supervisor know

Is it on your bucket list to get it fixed?

Maybe you could borrow a bucket from them, tho getting them to take it off their head first might prove challenging.

OP really makes it sound like most of the room is leaking rather than an individual spot they can put a bucket under

Your renters' insurance is responsible for the damaged goods. Hopefully the bucket suggestion was the first half of a sentence that ended with "we'll be there the next business day."

Too bad that insurance check won't come the same day or next day while OP is still hungry.
