Today, I decided I didn't care about my pride, and so I asked this girl out in a text. After an hour of no response I asked again. Later I got a text saying, "I'm sorry, This is Emily's mom. Emily isn't here at the moment, but if I were you, I wouldn't ask again." I was rejected by her mom. FML

Today, after telling a friend I was contemplating asking a girl to prom, my friend took my phone, told me to have some balls, and texted the girl asking her to prom. She said no, because I asked her over text instead of in person. She refuses to believe I didn't send the text. FML

I voted "I agree, your life sucks" simply because you didn't deserve that. Keep up that mindset of forgetting your pride, it will get you places. The fact that you asked her out gave you a chance of being with her, if you had not done it you would've had a 0% chance of it ever happening. Plus, a lot of times when girls reject someone, it isn't personal. Don't let this hurt your feelings, she probably thinks you're a great guy, but you might just be missing something she's looking for, and don't get upset about that either because you are who you are. Keep putting your pride aside and go after more girls, you'll never regret it.
