Today, I decided I didn't care about my pride, and so I asked this girl out in a text. After an hour of no response I asked again. Later I got a text saying, "I'm sorry, This is Emily's mom. Emily isn't here at the moment, but if I were you, I wouldn't ask again." I was rejected by her mom. FML

Today, after telling a friend I was contemplating asking a girl to prom, my friend took my phone, told me to have some balls, and texted the girl asking her to prom. She said no, because I asked her over text instead of in person. She refuses to believe I didn't send the text. FML

Actually, #165, that isn't true for all cases. Like if you know they're going to say know, why ask.'No' is not the worse case scenario. You could make it really awkward for both of you, or just humiliate yourself. Otherwise give it a shot! Go for gold!
