Today, I discovered that I have caught head lice from my son. Unfortunately, they are living in my chest hair. FML

At least you know you have a clean chest, as lice prefers a cleaner environment :). I hear people use peanut butter to remove lice.

that's body lice , head lice can not live on the body just like pubic lice(crabs) can not live on the head.

If the the son has head lice and that's where OP got his "body lice" from wouldn't it all be the same type of louse? Sure, generally, body lice are on body hair and head lice are on head hair, but I don't think it's because they cannot live elsewhere. I think it's actually just to make a distinction between the two types.

Body lice and head lice are two different species. They look almost identical, but body lice are bigger. I think technically it's possible for head lice to live in chest hair, but it doesn't make sense they would go to OPs chest and not his head. Unless OP is bald, then that makes perfect sense.

That's what I was thinking. That maybe he just has no head hair. Head lice can't live off of the host for very long so maybe they had to just attach somewhere.

Get that special shanpoo...make that hair all nice and soft. And kill the lice. Both will help the lady situation. :)
