Did you change after work or wear it to work? Communication is key, if you changed just talk it out. You said he was in a bad mood, he is probably venting

Oh man, I dealt with this from an ex. ANY time I tried to make myself look good or do my makeup for either him or just myself it was always a barrage of questions on who I was trying to impress, and why I was doing this and who was the other guy. Geez.

That's quite a conclusion to jump to. It could be that he's just very insecure or something. Not that that's a good thing, but you can't know for sure that he's cheating just from this.
