Today, I drove an hour to a friend's wedding. Realizing I was too early, I sat in my car at a gas station and watched The Office to kill time. I walked in to see the newly married couple escorting the last few rows out. I had been told the wrong time and the wedding was over. FML

It's kind of a long story behind the mix up. I previously moved, so the invitation never arrived at my new house. I confirmed I was coming, but since I never got the actual invitation, I asked one of my friends, a groomsmen, what time it started. Obviously I should've asked the bride or groom. I slipped in the back row and they never knew. I was too embarrassed to tell them the truth. I did bring a present though.

Weddings are boring, The Office was honestly probably more entertaining. You've still got the reception, right?

At least you get to go to the reception! That's the fun part anyway ^_^

Better late than never, sorry OP!

you know what they say, the best man is the last man

Did you watch the episode where Pam and Jim get married?

I'm sure if he was a good friend he would forgive you. Plus you didn't miss out on the party, and that's the important part, right?

Don't worry, OP. You can be honest with us here. Just admit that you got too caught up in watching all those episodes of "The Office" at the gas station that you accidentally showed up late to the ceremony. No one would blame you; it's a great show!

In Westeros it is always wise to miss the wedding.

Well #53, that's only if your wedding is hosted at the twins, with a sociopath or if you're an asshole boyking.

Let your friend know that it's his fault so he doesn't think of you as a lazy person. You tried your best & your sincere effort is what matters. The only thing you have to worry about is wasting that gas money.

Who cares? You got to watch The Office.

The reception is the best part of a wedding.
