Today, I drove my dad to Walmart to do some shopping. His leg is still in a cast after an accident, so I helped him to the last mobility scooter. A guy whose only disability was clearly Fat-Fuck Syndrome then yelled at us, claiming he needed it more and that my dad was a faker. FML

How could your dad? He clearly went through the trouble of getting a cast so that he could ride the mobility scooters as an excuse to not walk due to laziness. Shame on him.

The noun 'asshole' knows no weight class.

Seems like my comment applies to you too! Check the dictionary next time, asshole.

46 - please go back to english class. asshole would normally be a noun, since its refering to a part of the body. (nouns are people, places and things). calling someone an asshole is still comparing them to a noun, the asshole

#46: No, "asshole" is a noun. However, the phrase "flaming asshole" DOES contain an adjective.

But the adjective is still not "asshole" in that phrase

Lemme make this clear... being a fat **** isn't a disability nor a disease I understand if you have a problem with your thyroid or something but don't act like your disabled because you have a problem and you can't stop eating

Thank ypu! My wife has no thyroid and because of folks like thst jerk we avoid wally world

@61 Are you calling OP a jerk just because your wife has problems? Sorry but the fat idiot in this post was the jerk, not op.

tantanpanda 26

no, I think 61 means that they want to avoid walmart to avoid from being classified as those overly rude obese people.

@61 I understand what your wife went through, I gained so much weight when I hit my thyriod storm. And not a lot of people understand thyroid problems and I got bullied heavily for weight gain I couldn't even control. I actually would need one of the scooters at wally world now because I have chronic pain and my knees are inverted causing pain when I stand for to long. But there is never one available and I am self conscious about people calling fat and lazy for using one.

Fat **** syndrome. I like your choice of words, OP, but yeah. People are fat ***** :p

How do fat ***** get ******? Is sexual attraction to morbidly obese people really a thing?

Honey Boo Boo's fat **** mother had a boyfriend. They get ****** because money I guess, or because some people have terrible fetishes.

Walmart sounds like a lovely place to shop. Such a good opportunity to meet nice people...

It's more a people watching opportunity than meeting really

jaredofmo 22

I wear my headphones when I shop. It generally makes people leave me alone.

Comment moderated for rule-breaking.

Show it anyway

Uhh, you've been watching too much Iglesias. It's painfully obvious that this jerkwad wasn't "fluffy", just an overinflated asshole.

So they should assume the fat people took all the wheelchairs and left his dad home? Or drive his dad back home after finding there were none available? Nooooo.

It's a good thing Wal-Mart does not have more than one floor level. Imaging a fatass tripping and falling down the stairs. It would be like the boulder scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Another hilarious image in my mind. I picture a huge person, something never before been seen, rolled in a ball with his stub legs and arms flailing as he rolls down the stairs while Op and op's dad run for dear life. Awesome. :)

No #19 that only happens in mall food court when theres no corn dogs left.

They would be required to put in an elevator somewhere, Mr. Fat-**** would never see the stairs.

Walmarts in Asia are multi-level :/

Starcatch77 20

The Walmart near me is multi-level, actually. And I live in VA.

Sorry! I accidentally brushed the you deserved it button :(

Thank you. We were all wondering who, out of the thousands, voted "YDI".

He could have a thyroid problem, I wouldn't just assume he's lazy. (Even though it's a possibility.) However, they both needed it, so the man should have just kept quiet and waited for the next available one. I don't know why some people feel like they're more entitled to something like that, or why they feel they need to voice it in such rude ways. Anyways, that really sucks OP, I hope you and your dad weren't impacted too much.

I agree, there could be some underlying disease or something that causes problems that op couldn't see. He could have had chronic pain or something. However, he was still an idiot for assuming that he needed it more than op's dad, for assuming that op's dad went through getting a huge cast on just to be lazy and ride the machine, and assuming that yelling at them was going to make op change their mind and give it up. As 22 said, I hate when people feel entitled to something above another person, and I also hate when people (whether they have a valid excuse or not) think that yelling at someone is going to change their minds and behaviour. Yelling only gets the other person's back up and makes them immediately defensive. Not a good way to get what you want, idiot.

But heaven forbid they get some exercise. I understand some have diseases but exercise (even if it is just walking around the store) can only be a good thing. Sitting on their ass isn't going to help any.

jazzy_123 20

Nooooo some people are just lazy! Yeah you moght have thyroid problem or what not, but maybe if you walk, you'll get used to it. I mean, the more a person exercises the more they'll advance. I dislocated my knee and had to use crutches for a while. Let me tell you, it can be a bitch because your arms get sore, but I never once used one of the carts. I always refused. I actually had an excuse to use them but decided it'd be best to get used to my crutches and eventually my arms stopped being sore.

I have a thyroid problem, but I still walk throughout the whole grocery store to shop.

tantanpanda 26

Yeah, whether you have a thyroid problem or cushing syndrome, it's not really preventing you from walking. There's no reason to get a motor car thingy. "my legs are going to get sore" is not a valid excuse.

CaitiieBuggs 23

Sometimes a person legitimately can't walk through a store though. I know people who have serious spinal issues (that can't be fixed through surgery, medication, etc.) which limits their ability to move greatly, and as a result they've gained weight. That doesn't defend this person's behavior however, he was rude to OP and their dad and if he truly needed a cart he should have been patient and waited for the next available one.

My mother in law doesnt have a thyroid and she has diabetes. She is trying her damnedest to not go in to the obese category. If she can do it, others can too!
