Today, I fell down the stairs and broke my arm. I went into hospital to get it put in a cast, but still went into school afterwards. I got written up for truancy because I didn't have a doctor's note. The cast was still on my arm. FML

Today, my boss yelled at me for being 3 hours late. I was late because I fell down the stairs and broke my arm. Apparently, breaking my arm is not a good enough excuse. FML

Today, I went to the hospital to get a cast that I have been wearing for the past three months removed from my wrist. Thanks to said cast, I couldn't have any summer fun at all. The doctor took a final X-ray and said, "Well look at that, your wrist wasn't fractured to begin with." FML

Today, I broke my arm because my fucking ass friend pushed me off the stairs, and while I was in pain and was screaming, no one helped me. The worst part is that it happened at school. FML

Today, my doctor called and asked me when I could have my broken hand x-rayed again. I said the ER staff had told me it was a bad sprain over two weeks ago. I'm now in a full cast, and have to have my partially healed bones re-broken. There goes my summer. FML

Today, I fell down the stairs and landed heavily on my foot. Because I wasn't crying, my mom refused to take me to the hospital. It took me an hour of agony to convince her. It turned out to be broken in three different places. FML

Today, I fell off of the deck in my backyard, which wouldn't have been that bad if my drunk, idiot brother hadn't jumped off behind me yelling, "FINISH HIM!" while delivering a bone-crushing body slam. He is fine. I, however, am currently getting a cast for a broken arm. FML

Well, I agree with the fact that you can get one later, but generally when you break your arm, your first thought isn't "OH MAN I SHOULD CALL MY SCHOOL AND TELL THEM!" It's usually "FUUUUUCCCCK!"

something similar happened to me but it wasn't as bad. my toe was broken and i couldn't do gym class, so i showed her my broken toe but it was still unexcused b/c i didn't have a doctors note. It was big, purple and crooked but it still didn't "prove" it was broken. so the next day i got an xray, but they mixed it up w/ someone elses and told me it wasn't broken, and it took over a week to get the xrays correct, so i got a C in gym for missing over a week of "unexcused" gym.

Just because you have a cast as evidence doesn't mean they're not going to write you up. It's more of a legal thing than anything else.... you kinda deserve it.
